Family Valentine's Day Celebration

My husband and I started a family Valentines Day Tradition back in 2012. We buy Pizza and come home and eat it at the table. We decorate the table and have root-beer and chocolate. Our first year we used china but the more kids we had we made it even more simple and now we use paper plates. No one wants to do the dishes on Valentines Day, well at least I sure don't!

It all started because of the super bowl. Papa Johns had a deal where if you guessed the coin toss you got a free pizza. I ended up getting a free pizza 2 years in a row, and it was redeemable during Valentines Day. We were so poor because my husband was going to school at the U of A and I was a stay at home Mom. Money was tight and we didn't go out to eat very often, so this was a treat for us. We also found that when we did try going out to eat on Valentine's Day everything was so crowded. It is a tradition that our whole family enjoys each year.

I didn't have a picture for every year that I could find. I'm sure they are hidden somewhere!

This year we are going BIG I will tell you all about it when we get back!

Here is a picture of our 1st year in 2012

Last year we went to a church Valentine's Day Dance, it was a lot of fun! The kids really didn't want to take a picture though!

What are some of your favorite Valentine's Day Traditions? I'd love to hear about them.
